Salvation came to Zacheus.
Jesus Christ is Salvation. He is the one to believe in for remission of sins and eternal life.
What is salvation? It is believing in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Saviour.
Zacheus was a wealthy, Jewish tax collector. One day he believed in Jesus Christ as His Lord and Saviour. It was the day when Salvation came to his house. The presence of salvation led Zacheus to act.
Zacheus repented, meaning he changed his ways. After Salvation came, Zacheus could testify that before he was a sinner, who also wanted to see Salvation and climbed up a sycamore-fig tree,
(v. 3-4)but that day salvation had come to his house and convicted him to repent. Zacheus changed his mind and ways and desired to do what is right in God’s eyes. The now repented Zacheus said:
“Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much.”
The Lord Jesus then said to Zacheus: This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."Paul was preaching salvation( Jesus Christ) to the Jews. He had preached Jesus Christ thus,”
Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man (Jesus Christ),is proclaimed to you remission of sins, and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.”
Some of the Jews rejected this Salvation for remission of their sins. Paul then preached Salvation to the gentiles. He brought this light to the gentiles.
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.”As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.”
Jesus Christ is Salvation to the world
God gave us Salvation because of His love. After all He made us and wanted only what is good for His creation. The Bible teaches that,
”For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.” John 3:16-17.

It is now up to you, me and everybody who hears about Salvation to believe in Jesus Christ for remission of sins and receive the gift of eternal life. Glory to God for all who have believed in Him. I want to ask you; do you believe in Him?
If not, you can choose now to pray this prayer as a confession of your faith in Jesus Christ and start a new life in Christ.
Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I admit that I am not right with You, and I want to be right with You. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:8-9). I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life. Cleanse me with Jesus precious blood. Fill me with your Holy Spirit to help me live according to your written word. Thank You for saving me!
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
